Extraction happens first; drying and repairs can often be planned around operations. Tell them your hours when you call.
Could a crew start tearing out drywall before anything is agreed?
Ask for the estimate, authorization, or written scope first, and ask to see moisture readings for any material proposed for removal.
Will the paperwork satisfy our insurer?
Request dated pictures, the drying log, and an itemized scope; adjusters look for all three.
Who handles a request late at night?
Policies vary. Ask how overnight requests are handled and whether someone can come out that night.
Is home water damage handled differently from business water damage?
The drying science is the same, but businesses also need to plan around operations, inventory, and business-interruption paperwork.
